On August 9, 2019, participants of the “2019 Belt and Road Modern Agriculture Management Training Program”, organized by the Chinese Government and hosted by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, visited HUAWEI. Over 30 representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Institutes, farms, and agricultural enterprises of countries such as Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Ukraine conducted on-site visits, practical training, and field studies on smart irrigation and modern agricultural technologies at HUAWEI.
Exploring HUAWEI’s Smart Irrigation Demonstration Base
During the visit, Ismat, Director of the Belt and Road Center in Uzbekistan, remarked that his previous perception of “Made in China” was synonymous with low quality and affordability. However, after observing HUAWEI’s advanced products and technologies, his perspective completely changed. He extended an invitation for HUAWEI to organize professional training programs in Uzbekistan to promote smart irrigation technologies. Furthermore, Ismat emphasized his intention to actively facilitate collaborations between the Uzbek government, agricultural universities, and HUAWEI to jointly develop research projects and establish modern agricultural demonstration parks. These initiatives aim to cultivate high-level agricultural talent and enhance the country’s agricultural development through advanced smart agriculture solutions.
