On November 10, 2025, the "China-Netherlands AI Cooperation Exchange Meeting" — a series event of the World Agri-Food Innovation Conference (WAFI) — was successfully held at Mosu Space in Shanghai (No. 180 Longtai Road, Xuhui District). Co-hosted by the WAFI Center and Agri-AI, the event built a high-end, in-depth exchange platform for artificial intelligence between China and the Netherlands. As a key participating enterprise, Shanghai Huawei Agritech Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei Agritech") sent Frank Guo, its International Business Director, to attend and deliver a keynote speech titled "Exploration and Practice of Huawei Agritech in AI + Agriculture".

The exchange meeting gathered heavyweight guests from the agricultural and AI fields of both countries. The Dutch delegation was co-led by Prof. Aalt Dijkhuizen, Former President of Wageningen University & Research, and Cynthia Zhu, Founder & CEO of Agri-AI. Its members included senior executives and technical experts from well-known Dutch enterprises such as Royal De Heus Group, Hendrix Genetics, and Rijk Zwaan. On the Chinese side, academic teams from China Agricultural University and representatives of multiple AI innovation enterprises gathered to conduct in-depth discussions on the intelligent upgrading of agriculture.
In his speech, Frank Guo elaborated on Huawei Agritech's exploration path and practical achievements in the in-depth integration of AI technology and agriculture. Building on years of technical accumulation in controlled agriculture, Huawei Agritech has widely applied AI technology to core scenarios such as irrigation regulation, crop growth monitoring, and smart farm management. By constructing an intelligent perception network and data decision-making system, the company has realized the precision, efficiency, and sustainability of agricultural production. For example, real-time analysis of soil moisture, meteorological data, and crop growth through AI algorithms enables automatic optimization of irrigation plans and nutrient supply, reducing resource consumption while improving crop yield and quality. Relevant practical cases have attracted great attention and recognition from guests of both China and the Netherlands.
In the subsequent cooperative discussion session, Frank Guo had in-depth exchanges with members of the Dutch delegation on the technical application and cooperation opportunities of AI in fields such as agri-food automation, smart breeding, and precision planting. Both parties agreed that China and the Netherlands have their own advantages in agricultural science and technology. In the future, they can promote the innovative application and implementation of AI technology in the global agricultural field through technology sharing, project co-construction, and other methods.
Huawei Agritech's participation in this China-Netherlands AI Agriculture Exchange not only demonstrated the technical strength and practical achievements of Chinese enterprises in the field of AI + agriculture but also built an important bridge for agricultural science and technology cooperation between China and the Netherlands. Taking this exchange meeting as an opportunity, Huawei Agritech will continue to deepen the R&D and application of AI technology in agriculture, actively expand international cooperation space, and contribute Chinese solutions and Huawei Agritech's strength to the global intelligent upgrading of agriculture.
