A distinguished Dutch business delegation led by Aalt Dijkhuizen, former President of Wageningen University & Research (profile attached at the end), and Zhu Ying, Founder & CEO of Agri-AI, engaged in in-depth ideological exchanges with Chinese experts on topics of artificial intelligence and agricultural technology. The Chinese delegation included Ding Xiaotao, Researcher at Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Protected Horticultural Technology; Niu Qingliang, Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Lü Shaoning, Science and Technology Commissioner of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Talent and Doctor of Fudan University; and Wang Yaojun, Deputy Director of the Department of Computer Engineering, School of Information and Electrical Engineering, China Agricultural University.

Professor Aalt Dijkhuizen delivered a keynote speech titled "Joining Forces To Innovate and Help Feed The World". He noted that global agricultural development has achieved remarkable technological successes, yet it now stands at a critical juncture, facing challenges such as labor shortages, lack of scale, adverse environmental conditions, and absence of standardization. AI in agriculture will provide solutions to these issues, requiring close cooperation among countries to promote technological innovation, application, and popularization.

Subsequently, Dr. Lü Shaoning, Zhu Ying, and Professor Wang Yaojun delivered thematic sharing sessions on "HUAWEI's Exploration and Practice in AI + Agriculture", "Artificial Intelligence in Dutch Agriculture", and "The Practice of Shennong Large Model in Agriculture" respectively, engaging in real-time interactive exchanges with on-site experts and leaders.

During the panel discussion, Professor Niu Qingliang, Director Ding Xiaotao, Professor Wang Yaojun, Dr. Lü Shaoning, and Xia Gefei, Director of the AI Research Institute at HUAWEI Research Academy, conducted professional and efficient exchanges with Professor Aalt Dijkhuizen, delving into technical details and application scenarios. Professor Aalt Dijkhuizen commended the research achievements of Professor Wang Yaojun and Dr. Lü Shaoning, and praised HUAWEI Group for its technological innovations and accomplishments in agricultural AI and digitalization research, particularly in intelligent irrigation control and crop growth data monitoring.

Both parties emphasized that the exchange conference has built a platform for in-depth cooperation between China and the Netherlands in the field of AI agriculture. It has expanded channels for sharing practical experience in artificial intelligence and sustainable agricultural development, accelerated the application and implementation of AI technology in agriculture, and opened up new possibilities for bilateral cooperation in technological collaborative innovation and exploring AI-enabled agriculture.

In conclusion, Professor Aalt Dijkhuizen specially wrote in the guest book: "Thank you very much for the visit to HUAWEI China Irrigation Museum – it is an extraordinary museum. I firmly believe that with the support of AI artificial intelligence, the future of agriculture will be more brilliant, and all these developments will far exceed the needs of feeding 10 billion people in the future."
